Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data ATHLOM (“the app”, “we”) collects, why, with whom it is shared, and what your rights are. By using ATHLOM, you accept the practices described below.

1. Data we collect

1.1 Data you provide

Account: email address, sign-in identifier (email/password or Google Sign-In), username, profile picture (optional), bio (optional).
Fitness profile: sex, body metrics (weight, waist, measurements), goals, post-session feelings and comments.
Training: sessions, exercises, personal records (PRs), cycles, programs, plannings, challenges and the related history.
Social: friend requests, groups, chat messages, shared activity.

1.2 Data collected automatically (with your permission)

GPS location: only during a run/cardio tracking session you start, to compute distance, pace and route. Background location is not used; locked-screen tracking relies on a visible foreground service (notification).
Health / activity data: step count (pedometer) and, if you allow it, data from Health Connect (Android). This data is only read for the corresponding features.
Technical data: device identifiers, diagnostic and performance logs, crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics/Performance) and aggregated usage events (via Firebase Analytics).

1.3 Payment data

Premium subscriptions are handled by RevenueCat and the store (Google Play / App Store). We neither receive nor store your bank card details; we only receive your subscription status.

2. How we use your data

Provide and operate the app (sessions, profile, stats, social, challenges, streaks).
Generate personalized programs and reviews via Coach Athlom (see §3). Post-session comments are sent to Coach Athlom only if you enable the related sharing option.
Compute your metrics (GPS distance, hybrid scores, rankings).
Send notifications (reminders, social) that you can disable.
Improve the app's stability and quality (aggregated diagnostics).

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Sharing and processors

Your data is processed by providers acting on our behalf:

Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Functions, Messaging, Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance) — hosting and infrastructure.
RevenueCat — subscription management (purchase status only).
Anthropic (Claude) — generation of Coach Athlom programs and reviews. Only the data needed (fitness profile, training history, metrics) is sent to produce the recommendation. It is not used to identify you personally.
Health Connect (Google) — only if you grant access.

Content visible to other users (username, picture, public profile, shared activity, group messages) depends on your visibility settings.

4. Retention and deletion

Your data is kept while your account is active.
Account deletion: from Settings, you can request deletion of your account. The account is then deactivated and can be reactivated within 30 days. After this period without reactivation, your personal data is permanently deleted from our servers (Firebase), except where retention is legally required.

5. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (notably the GDPR), you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction and objection. To exercise them: athlom.app@gmail.com. You can also export some data from the app and revoke permissions (location, Health Connect, notifications) in your device settings.

6. Security

Data is protected by authentication, strict Firestore access rules (each user only accesses their own data, except explicitly shared content) and encryption in transit. No system is infallible; we strive to apply reasonable measures.

7. Children

ATHLOM is not intended for people under 16 (or the minimum age required by your country). We do not knowingly collect their data.

8. International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than yours (by our processors). We ensure that appropriate safeguards govern these transfers.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top indicates the latest revision; significant changes will be notified in the app.
